How to Transform Your Homemaking if it Feels Like Drudgery

Imagine this…
You are a wife, mother, and full-time homemaker who wakes up every morning with a clear vision for your family and a passion for the work you do in the home.
You have the energy to tackle the daily duties of your role as homemaker as well as hobbies and things that bring you joy.
You love what you do and find so much joy by doing what the Lord has called you to do as a wife and mother. you are blessed by God’s perfect peace and with your husband, are building a multi-generational family of disciples for Christ.
It’s 5am and you’re up before anyone in the house because you are motivated for the day ahead. You’re truly a proverbs 31 woman.
You spend these quiet hours before the rest of the house wakes up with the Lord, moving your body, and getting your mind right for the day ahead. You even work on a little hobby you’ve been enjoying.
Then you spend some time making a nourishing breakfast to serve your family. As you’re cooking you’re so grateful for the big and little mouths you’re feeding. You use this time to pray a prayer of gratitude for your family, your home, and the financial provisions to pay for the food you’re cooking.
Your husband comes downstairs, wraps his arms around you and you just melt into his embrace for a bit before you both sit down to sip on your favorite, warm morning beverage for a while.
The quietness of the morning is disrupted by little feet coming down the stairs and smiling faces from your little blessings. You look at your children and are so amazed at how blessed you are. Again, you thank the Lord
You spend the day serving your family and tending to the children and home. You are so productive and feel like you have the energy to do more than what is even on your to do list.
Your body is operating like a well-oiled machine – it feels so good to feel good. You’re relaxed, motivated, and feel so much internal peace.
You’re living out your God-given calling and have the joy of the Lord.
Your head hits the pillow at night and as you reflect on the day your heart swells with gratitude. You feel good about the connection you made with your family that day, how you trained and nurtured your children, loved on your husband, and cared for your own body and soul.
You feel closer than ever to the Lord and can’t wait for tomorrow.
You may be thinking, wow, that sounds nice but how do I get some of that in my life?
I’m here to tell you… It is possible.
Freedom from Drudgery in Homemaking
I know if you’re operating from a place of overwhelm, overstimulation, and just plain drudgery right now it seems too idyllic like it’s a dream that can never become reality.
But I can tell you from my own lived experience that I went from living in misery in my homemaking. Chronically ill, in pain, angry, overstimulated and overwhelmed to living MOST of my days with the vision I just gave you.
I made this transformation using what I call my homemaking superpower and that is christian brain rewiring.
Christian brain rewiring uses God’s design for our brains to wire different thoughts and emotions into our brains, leading to different behaviors and lived experiences.
God designed our brains to be plastic, meaning moldable – this is called neuroplasticity.
So, no matter how miserable life may seem now, we serve a God of redemption and He made a way for us to rewire our brain into freedom from a life of drudgery.
I know all too well the trap that satan puts us homemakers in. Making us feel like we have to do it all and be it all and that we have to do it all alone. That we are alone in the struggles we face. But that’s a lie.
You aren’t alone – you have tribe of women who are all going through similar struggles, but who all have a similar goal – to love their family and raise disciples of Christ.
That’s why I created my course the Transformed Homemakers Society, where I use Christian brain rewiring and home management systems to transform your homemaking from drudgery to perfect peace.
I provide you with a Christian brain rewiring formula, simplified homemaking rhythms, help you create your own family vision, culture and unique homemaker qualities, and so much more.
If this is something that you feel that would be a blessing to you I hope that you consider taking my free workshop – it’s my five step framework for overwhelmed and overworked homemakers.
