All of these make-at-home Fall coffee recipes are so cozy and delicious – but the best part is that they are all made with pretty darn clean ingredients! You’ll have guilt-free Autumn coffee indulgence all season. Cozy up next to the fireplace with one of my make-at-home fall coffee recipes and one of my homemade pumpkin sourdough cinnamon rolls!

This recipe uses the natural sweetener of pure maple syrup and the buttery, nutty flavor of pecan extract. The flavoring is mixed in with the cream, milk, or milk alternative of your choice. Made with espresso from a stovetop espresso maker (percolator), espresso machine, or Nespresso.

This one is OH SO TASTY. This caramel apple sauce is so decadent, but when mixed with the iced coffee it’s so refreshing! This recipe is made with my healthy homemade caramel apple sauce, collagen creamer, and iced french press coffee. You could also use cold brew concentrate for this one.

This is a classic with a salty twist! I use rich cocoa powder, sweet coconut sugar, and a little sea salt for the flavoring. Then, I use my Nespresso for the shots, frothy raw milk, and sprinkle some Maldron’s flake salt on top.

This is the easiest one, but maybe my favorite! All you do for this is make a french press coffee but before adding the water, you’ll add your cardamom spice to the coffee grounds. You could also toss in pumpkin pie spice with or instead of the cardamom to make a simple pumpkin spice french press coffee!

  1. Grind your own beans

    Freshly ground beans taste so much better than pre-ground coffee.

  2. Buy organic, fair-trade coffee

    This is important. Coffee that isn’t organic, fair trade has been found to have other things (besides coffee, they’ve even found cockroaches) ground up with it.

  3. Wait for the bloom

    When making a french press, you want to pour the water in the french press 30 seconds off the boil, pour a few inches of water in and wait for the coffee to bloom, then pour the rest in.

  4. Use filtered water

    There’s something about all the added chlorine, fluoride, and other harmful additives in tap water that make your coffee taste off. Use filtered water for a pure-tasting cup of coffee. We use our Berkey.

Caramel Apple Iced Coffee

This iced coffee is perfect for those sunny and randomly warm Fall days! Take this to the pumpkin patch or the corn maze and enjoy the sweet caramel apple treat.

Ingredients
  

French Press Iced Coffee
  • 8 tbsp ground coffee
  • 4 cups filtered water
Caramel Apple Sauce
  • 2/3 cups raw cream or coconut cream or any of the Picnik brand creamers are super clean! The collagen creamer is my favorite.
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup tightly packed coconut sugar
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup no sugar added applesauce
Caramel Apple Creamer
  • 1 batch Caramel apple sauce
  • 1 cup raw cream (or milk/cream of choice)
Topping
  • Sprinkle Cinnamon

Equipment

  • Tea kettle
  • Coffee grinder
  • French Press
  • Jar to hold the creamer

Method
 

Coffee
  1. Heat water in tea kettle until it comes to a whistling boil
  2. coarsely grind 8 tbsp of coffee and dump in bottom of french press
  3. once water comes to a boil turn off stove and let sit for about 30 seconds before pouring
  4. Pour a few inches of water to wet the ground beans in the french press. Let the coffee bloom for about 30 seconds to a minute before filling up.
  5. Fill the french press, swirling the water/coffee as you go
  6. Let this sit for 5-10 minutes (depending on how strong you like your coffee)
Caramel Apple Sauce
  1. While coffee is brewing, add all the sauce ingredients (except vanilla and apple sauce) to a sauce pan over medium heat and bring it to a boil
  2. let boil for about 8 minutes (stirring frequently). you may need to adjust the heat to avoid burning the caramel
  3. Once the sauce has thickened up and formed into caramel, remove from the heat and add vanilla and applesauce
Caramel Apple Creamer
  1. Once your caramel apple sauce has cooled, mix your cream and sauce and pour into a glass jar (this can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days)
To serve
  1. Fill 2 cups up with ice
  2. Pour your french press coffee into the cups of ice (add more ice if desired but leave some room for your creamer)
  3. Add desired amount of your homemade creamer
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon on top
  5. Store the rest of your creamer in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 5 days

Maple Pecan Latte

Ingredients
  

Espresso
  • 4 tbsp ground espresso
  • 4 cups filtered water
Maple Pecan Creamer

  • Jar to hold the creamer

Method
 

Espresso
  1. pour 4 cups of filtered water into the bottom of your percolator (or make 4 shots of espresso with whatever you have)
  2. put 4 tbsp of espresso into the top of the percolator
  3. put the percolator on the stove over medium heat
  4. Once you hear the coffee coming to the top of the percolator (you'll hear bubbles) pull it from the heat and turn off your stove
Maple Pecan Creamer
  1. use your cream or milk of choice (I use raw cream for this one) and put in a small sauce pan over low-medium heat
  2. add your maple syrup and pecan extract and whisk until combined and warm
To serve
  1. Pour your espresso into a mug
  2. Add desired amount of your homemade creamer to a frother and froth until desired amount of foam forms
  3. pour your cream into your espresso
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top
  5. Store the rest of your creamer in a glass jar in the fridge for up to a week

Salted Mocha

Ingredients
  

  • 4 shots espresso
  • 4 cups raw milk or milk alternative of choice
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • Spinkle Cocao nibs optional
  • Sprinkle sea salt

Equipment

  • Nespresso or another espresso maker

Method
 

  1. Make your shots of espresso (I used the nespresso for this because I wanted the foam for the salt and cocao nibs to rest on)
  2. heat and whisk your milk of choice, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, vanilla extract and salt in a small sauce pan until wamr and combined
  3. let the milk cool and put in a glass jar (this can be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days)
  4. Pour desired amount of salted mocha milk into a frother and froth until desired amount of foam forms
  5. pour the foamed milk into your espresso shots and top with cocao nibs and a dash of sea salt

Simple Cardamom French Press Coffee

This recipe is almost exactly like making a regular french press coffee, but with a little twist that makes a HUGE difference in flavor. Cardamom has a very strong, nutty and spicy (flavorful not hot) flavor that goes perfectly in a strong cup of coffee.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp coffee beans
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom
  • small pinch sea salt

Equipment

  • Tea kettle
  • Coffee grinder
  • French Press

Method
 

  1. bring filtered water to a whistling boil
  2. grind your coffee beans and place in basin of french press
  3. sprinkle the cardamom and salt into the ground coffee beans (before water)
  4. once water has come to a boil, turn the heat off and let rest for 30 seconds
  5. pour a couple inches of water (just enough to soak the beans) and let the coffee bloom for about 30-60 seconds
  6. add the rest of the water swirling the french press as you go
  7. let brew for 5-10 minutes (depending on how strong you like your coffee)
  8. pour into mugs and enjoy!
