why you should have a fully stocked kitchen

fully stocked kitchen pantry, fridge, and freezer with Azure Standard

It’s also important to have a fully stocked kitchen just in case an emergency arises, supply chain issues take over, or you and your family get sick and can’t go out in public for a period of time. Stocking your kitchen is an important fail-safe that’ll make sure you and your family stay healthy and fed no matter what situation you’re in.

how to stock your kitchen on a budget

If you want a fully stocked kitchen, I’m sure you want to stock it on a budget, am I right? To stock your kitchen on a budget you’ll have to do some legwork upfront. Once that’s done, though, there’s not much you’ll have to do other than just shop!

  1. Make a list of all your grocery items. This will take a while because you’ll want every single item you buy on a regular basis! My list is below if you want to use that as an example.
  2. Make a list of your top grocery stores you like to shop at. Be creative here, there are tons of online stores you can shop at too. My top stores are Azure Standard, Thrive Market, Fred Meyer and Costco Wholesale.
  3. Do your research. Go through each item and compare pricing at each store on your list. Again, this will take a while upfront, but long-term – you’ll thank yourself. Make sure you take into account any annual fees the store might charge.

What is Azure Standard

Keeping my kitchen fully stocked while on a budget using Azure Standard!

Azure Standard is a bulk food co-op and a great money-saving option for getting a fully stocked kitchen. They are a group co-op so you do have to have a group order of a certain amount in order to buy from Azure. But, unless you’re in an extremely rural area, you likely have an established drop location near you.

Why i stock my kitchen using azure standard

How to stock your kitchen using healthy ingredients on discount.
  1. Product Standards
    1. They use all the “right” buzz words such as Certified Organic (meaning it is truly 100% organic).
    2. Natural and Non-GMO Foods
    3. They have a list of 15 “Unacceptable Ingredients” for the food they carry.
    4. And, my personal favorite product standard – their rules around “natural flavorings” which usually just means artificial flavors! They make their vendors sign a certification letter saying that anything labeled “natural flavors” has to be devoid of 26 bad ingredients which are commonly found in “natural flavorings.”

2. Value for money. When I did my research (see above on how I researched best prices) I found that Azure Standard had the best prices on almost everything I buy on a regular basis.
