Healthy Peppermint Mocha

This peppermint mocha is the perfect winter coffee recipe because its cozy and warm but also has the ymmu peppermint flavor that reminds us of candy canes! The best part is that this recipe does'nt use any artificial sweeteners or flavors.

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 cups milk of choice amount depends on how big your mugs are.
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 4 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 shots espresso about 6 oz
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract

Equipment

  • coffee mugs
  • Sauce pan
  • glass container for milk
  • espresso maker (percolator, nespresso, espresso concentrate anything will do!)
  • milk frother

Method
 

Peppermint Mocha Milk
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat your milk, cocoa powder, coconut sugar until sugar is disolved.
  2. Turn off heat and add peppermint extract and stir to combine.
Coffee
  1. Brew your espresso using whichever method you have available.
Assemble Drinks
  1. Froth your peppermint mocha milk you just made until it has a nice foam.
  2. Pour your shots into a coffee mug and then your frothed milk overtop.
