  • Don’t overcomplicate – don’t overcomplicate this recipe by pulling out the blender, sauteeing, or doing anything else unnecessary! This hoisin peanut sauce is tasty simply mixed up and served.
  • Let it marinate – as the sauce sits, the flavors will marinate and develop to become even more delicious. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before serving if possible.
  • Thin out or keep thick – depending on what you’re using the sauce for, you might want it thick, or thin. Be sure to use water to thin out if you want it thinner.
  • Peanut butter type makes a difference – we use natural peanut butter (just peanuts and sea salt) which is always quite thin and runny and gives this hoisin peanut sauce a thinner consistency naturally – we only used 1 tbs of water for this reason. If you’re using a thicker peanut butter you might need more water.
